Roswell’s Xai Carrasco awarded Punter of the Year | Local Sports

Roswell High School junior safety Xai Carrasco was recently awarded by New Mexico Preps (NMPreps) as their Punter of the Year due to his role in the Coyotes’ 12-1 run during the 2023 season. NMPreps said that Carrasco “consistently flipped the field with precision, providing his squad with favorable field position.”

Carrasco is a multi-sport athlete that competes basketball as well as track and field. After a tough loss against Rio Rancho Rams for basketball on Jan. 19, Carrasco said that he gives all the glory to God.
