Atlanta producer Stephen Satterfield explores even more of Black America’s food history with new season of ‘High on the Hog’ – WABE

“Sorely overdue” – that’s how New York Times journalist Osayi Endolyn described the Netflix series “High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America.”

In the show’s widely acclaimed first season, host Stephen Satterfield embarked on a journey through America’s past, enriched by the lesser known histories of Black food tradition that fueled and inspired generations.

“High on the Hog” recently returned with season two, featuring a new assembly of storytellers and story-rich flavors.

On Tuesday, Satterfield joined “City Lights with Lois Reitzes” to discuss what we can expect from the upcoming season!
