ATLANTA, GA — A hearing to decide whether or not to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from an election subversion case against former President Donald Trump is scheduled for Thursday, The Associated Press reported Wednesday.
The hearing comes after Willis reportedly acknowledged a personal relationship with Nathan Wade, a top prosecutor whom she hired for the case against Trump and 18 others accused of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.
An attorney for a Trump co-defendant said Willis’ relationship with Wade presents a conflict of interest, AP reported.
