Witness Contradicts Fulton DA’s Romantic Relationship Timeline: Report

by Fulton Watch News Feed

ATLANTA, GA — A top prosecutor for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who claims his romantic relationship with Willis has ended, was accused of lying in court documents about the timeline for their involvement.

A hearing was held Thursday to determine whether or not to disqualify Willis from the prosecution of former U.S. President Donald J. Trump in a massive election subversion case against him.

At the hearing, witness Robin Bryant Yeartie testified Nathan Wade and Willis’ relationship began in 2019 – which would contradict Wade’s claim in a sworn affidavit that the relationship started in 2022 after he started working on the Trump case, both The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Axios reported.

The AJC reported Wade maintained his timeline as he took the witness stand, also testifying Willis paid for a birthday trip they took together in March 2023 to Belize. He said his marriage ended in 2015 as he denied an affair, the outlet reported.

Wade was not the only one to take the stand Thursday. Willis did, as well.

“It’s highly offensive when someone lies on you and it’s highly offensive when they try to implicate that you slept with somebody the first day you met with them,” Willis said while testifying, per an Axios report. “And I take exception to it.”

As of around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, a decision had not been made on Willis’ potential disqualification from Trump’s case. Eighteen allies were indicted along with Trump in August 2023.

Trump was charged on suspicion of violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, three counts of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, conspiracy to commit filing false documents, filing false documents and false statements and writings. He was released from the Fulton County Jail on a prearranged $200,000 bond.
