The Goddard and Roswell High School (RHS) boys’ basketball teams played on their respective home courts against the New Mexico Military Institute and the Hobbs Eagles, respectively, on Tuesday night.
Over at the Rockets’ game, Goddard started well with a 22-19 first-half performance, but the visiting Colts hung around and took over the lead in the second half of the game. For the Rockets, seniors Chris Zapata and Dominic Ramirez held the bulk of the scoring responsibilities for Goddard, scoring 15 for Zapata and 12 for Ramirez.
