With a time just one-hundredth of a second slower than Kiley Robbins of Wisconsin, Lyston’s debut performance at the event was noteworthy.

The day before, Lyston took part in the women’s 200m race, where she finished 18th overall with a time of 23.54 seconds.

In the women’s 60m heats, Julien Alfred of Texas, with a time of 7.05 seconds, and teammate Kevona Davis, 7.27 seconds, were the first and third-fastest runners.

Alfred went on to win the final with a record time of 7.00 seconds flat, while Davis, formerly of Edwin Allen, came in fourth place with 7.22 seconds.
