ALPHARETTA, Ga. — An Alpharetta man reported Nov. 15 someone withdrew $5,000 from his Chase bank account using a fraudulent check.
The victim reported discovering the fraud after receiving an alert from the bank stating his account was overdrawn. He said he had not authorized the transaction, and the suspect had forged his signature.
The fraudulent check was deposited at a Truist bank, the report states.
No suspects have been identified.
