Roswell man will spend more than 10 years in prison for shooting at New Mexico State Police officer’s home

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – A Roswell man has been sentenced to over a decade in prison for shooting at a New Mexico State Police officer’s home. In February 2023, Jonah Flores shot inside the Roswell home of an NMSP officer while the officer and his family were inside the home. No one was hurt in the shooting.

Flores recently took a plea deal in the case and pled no contest to shooting at an occupied building, aggravated assault, and felon in possession of a firearm. Under the agreement, Flores will spend ten and a half years in prison with 353 days of confinement credit given.
