In Peachtree City, a Feb. 17 evening traffic stop was made on an SUV in the area of Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway. The driver was found to be in possession of THC oil. Walter Massey, 59, of Peachtree City was arrested on a felony drug charge as well as failure to maintain lane and following too close.
A vehicle with expired registration was pulled over the morning of Feb. 18 near Hwy. 54 and Wynnmeade Parkway. As a result of the investigation, Viengkham Phothisen, 40, of Union City was arrested on a felony drug charge as well as expired/no license plate/decal, failure to display license and marijuana possession, according to the county jail log. City reports indicated that another woman, age 36, was also taken into custody.
A traffic stop the afternoon of Feb. 20 at Kelly Drive and Hippocket Drive resulted in the arrest of Quantavious Clark, 33, of Decatur. According to the jail log, he faces a felony drug charge along with lesser charges that include following too close, improper use/turning sig/light, marijuana possession and tampering with evidence. A city report listed him in relation to a Feb. 18 online report of theft by shoplifting at Walmart.
Police pulled over a vehicle with suspended registration Feb. 20 near Hwy. 54 and Marketplace Blvd. There was a female driver and a male passenger, and when the officer asked the driver for her license, it was made known that she did not have a license and was 15 years old. The officer learned that the driver had taken her mother’s car without her knowledge or consent. The juvenile suspect was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, cited for driving without a license and invalid registration, and taken to the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.
