7 Carrollton High students advance to GHP semifinals | Times Georgian

George Carden, Hayden Delaney, Marie Fujita-Block, Alana Lee, Addison Lloyd, Jacob Preston, and Christopher Watts represent half of the original nominees for CHS. Alana and Addison will compete in Communicative Arts, Christopher in Engineering, Marie and Jacob in Science, George in Social Studies, and Hayden in Visual Arts.

Shae Holland, CHS counselor, said it has been wonderful working with these students throughout the process.

“These students are so passionate and all of them bring unique gifts and talents to the table,” she said. “They have worked extremely hard through each round of GHP, and I am so proud of them.”

Approximately 4,200 students were nominated to the state-level competition, and nearly 1,500 of them have been selected as semifinalists for state interviews/auditions. These students advanced to state-level interviews at Georgia Southern University.
