Emory University’s ‘Cinematheque’ tackles agency and ethics with new theme, ‘A.I. and Film’ – WABE

Each semester, Emory University’s “Cinematheque” film series dives deep into intriguing themes and distinctive directors. Now Cinematheque is tackling a new theme: “A.I. and Film: From HAL to Her.”

The series features blockbuster paradigm shifts like “The Matrix” and “The Terminator,” while also introducing us to lesser-known gems that bring other voices into the hot topics of selfhood, agency and ethics in the digital age. 

On Monday, Dr. Gregory Zinman, associate professor of film and media at Georgia Tech, spoke with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about the highly anticipated new series.
