Villa Rica High School counselor accused of inappropriate contact | Times Georgian

According to a release from the Villa Rica Police Department, on Feb. 16, the Carroll County School System notified authorities of allegations that Wyatt had engaged in a sexual relationship with one student at the high school on multiple occasions. An investigation revealed two additional victims, both students who were also being counseled by Wyatt.

According to the VRPD, Wyatt made inappropriate comments, groped the students and solicited them for sex.Authorities said the investigation revealed a pattern of predatory behavior by Wyatt, who was in a position of trust at the school and whom students depended on for assistance, advice and safety.

“Mr. Wyatt clearly and continuously broke that trust and preyed on the students that he was in charge of supervising and assisting,” the release read. “This case has taken some time to investigate due to all the complex digital cell phone evidence and numerous victims and witnesses.”

The Carroll County School System commented to the Times-Georgian by email Tuesday.

“The district was informed of allegations made against a Villa Rica High School employee,” the email read. “The matter was turned over to the Villa Rica Police Department … We are thankful for the strong relationship we have with our local law enforcement to ensure that the safety of our students remains our top priority.”
