Susan Payton | Times Georgian

Susan worked as a Receptionist at Peachtree Allergy & Asthma and was a light unto every patient that came into the practice. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach, going shopping with her friends, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandbabies! Susan was a faithful member of Roopville Road Baptist Church.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Darry Payton; daughters and sons-in-laws, Stephanie and Spencer McGhee and Abby and Zach Messer; grandchildren, Stella McGhee, Maggie McGhee, Payton Messer and Samuel Messer; and brother, Robbie Robinson.

A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Susan’s life on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. from Roopville Road Baptist Church, with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating. The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 5-7 p.m.

Interment will take place in the Veal Community Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Matt Payton, Josh Payton, Spencer McGhee, Zach Messer, Garrett Eidson and Casey Payton.
