Mrs. Patricia Elaine Wood, 73, of Young Harris passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 10, 2024, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wood was born on October 13, 1950, in Ahoskie, N.C., the daughter of the late Tony Robert Rode and the late Theressa La Torre Rode. Patricia loved camping and traveling with her husband, Charlie. Most of all she loved the Lord. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Mrs. Wood attended the Westside Worship Center in Winston, Ga. Surviving Mrs. Wood are her loving husband and best friend of fifty three years, Charles Wood of Young Harris, one son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Leilani Wood of Douglasville, Ga., three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Debbie Rode of Plantation, Fla., Dennis and Carol Rode of Cooper City, FL., Tony and Marty Rode of Hollywood, Fla., one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Michael Worley of Cooper City, Fla., two grandchildren, Joshua and Nicholas, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Harvest Fellowship Church with Rev. Mike Youngblood officiating. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Harvest Fellowship Church in Young Harris, Ga., in Patricia’s memory.
