by Fulton Watch News Feed

Roswell was the 7-6 winner over Alamogordo when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Roswell Coyotes took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alamogordo Tigers on Tuesday.

Roswell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Loya, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Roswell didn’t let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 11 strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alamogordo only tossed seven.

On Alamogordo’s side, the team relied heavily on Kade Kiss, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Easton ‘Cash’ Delanda, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

Roswell’s loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Alamogordo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

While Roswell had to take the loss, they won’t have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
