New program helps students sprout creativity, critical thinking | Local News

The Roswell Public Library has launched The Sprout Project, which is described as a way to nurture the creative potential of sixth-grade students who attend the New Mexico Military Institute’s (NMMI) Intermediate Preparatory Academy.

Funded by the New Mexico Library Foundation’s STEM Innovation Grant, The Sprout Project aims to “seamlessly weave together science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM),” said Katelyn Turner, the library’s STEM instructor who is also leading this project.
