Thousands expected to attend popular annual festival in Brookhaven – The Champion Newspaper | 404-373-7779

One of the biggest events to usher in springtime is coming up in Brookhaven.

The 2024 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, held annually in DeKalb County’s largest city, will run March 23 – 24. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. each day and will include vendors as well as live performances from chart-topping musicians and bands.

This year’s Cherry Blossom Festival lineup is celebrating all things ‘90s with bands that made a big splash during that decade, including Live, Sister Hazel, Barenaked Ladies, Lisa Loeb, and Crash Test Dummies.

“Once again the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival proves why it’s one of the biggest concert events in the state,” said former Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst. “I’m looking forward to getting out and enjoying this phenomenal live music lineup with my fellow Brookhaven residents this spring.”

In addition to live music, this year’s festival brings back attendee favorites such as the Splash Artists’ Market, Kidz Zone, Pet World, Classic Car Show, and food trucks, according to the festival’s website.

Festival organizers said the following information is important for attendees to know while planning a trip to this year’s festival:

• No parking in the immediate area of Blackburn Park where the festival will be held. Parking restriction signs will be posted on local lots and side streets and vehicles will be subject to towing to alleviate congestion for local residents, stated officials. No parking will be available at Marist or Montgomery Elementary School.
• Shuttles will begin running from the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe MARTA station parking lot at 9:30 a.m. each day, with the last shuttle bus leaving at 7:30 p.m. from Blackburn Park. Free shuttles will be available from the MARTA lot to Blackburn Park. Shuttle lines are expected to be long after the festival ends each day.
