The investigation began in the summer of 2023 when family members contacted the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office after Devezin reportedly sent sexually explicit text messages to an underage family member, according to Sgt. Shawna Wade.

However, after learning about the investigation, Devezin fled to Colorado and remained there until last week, when he was apprehended by members of the U.S. Marshall’s Service, Wade said.

Devezin was booked into the Coweta County Jail on March 26 and denied bond after a first appearance hearing.

Wade said the investigation remains ongoing, and more charges could be filed.
