Two charged in operation of illicit massage parlors in Roswell | Local News

Wen and Wang could each face up to five years in prison if convicted. They also could face state charges in Texas and New Mexico related to prostitution. Both remain in custody while they wait to be transported to face justice at a federal court in Northern Texas. 

A press release issued by the U.S. Department of Justice indicates that Wen is alleged to have been the proprietor of at least seven massage parlors where Asian women provided sexual services to clients in exchange for money. Wang, who allegedly identified himself as Wen’s son, assisted in operating the parlors. 

The parlors included two locations in Roswell, one at 1125 South Main Street and another at 2609 North Main Street, and two more in Carlsbad, one in Clovis, and two in Lubbock, Texas. 

In addition to the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Roswell Police and Fire Departments, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico, the Carlsbad Police and Fire Departments and the Clovis Police Department were among the agencies that contributed to the investigation. 

On March, 21 FBI agents and police were outside both locations in Roswell, where they conducted what an FBI spokesperson had described in an email to the Roswell Daily Record as a “court-authorized law enforcement activity.” Because of the ongoing nature of the investigation, the spokesperson declined to comment further at the time.
