Mary Wolfe Hibbard | Douglasville Sentinel

She was born in New York, New York, lived in Brooklyn, and moved to Valley Stream, N.Y. in 1966.

In 1988, when her first granddaughter was born, she moved to Douglasville, Georgia to watch her grow up. Another granddaughter and two grandsons followed.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell, parents Lena and John, sister Emmanuela and brother-in-law Nicholas, brother Angelo John and sister-in-law Jean, nephew James and niece Benita. She is survived by her children Madalin/Michael, and Robert, her grandchildren, Ren (Mariel), Sarah, Joshua, Christopher, and Taiylar/Jacob, and great granddaughters, Zoey Madalin and Cora Elizabeth, nephew John/Pat, niece Diane/Armand, and nephew John.

Visitation was at Jones Wynn Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2024

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 4401 Pressley Mill Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135 on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 11 am.

Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery in New York.

In lieu of flowers, Mary has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Stjude.org. in honor of her niece, Benita’s children and grandchildren.
