ATLANTA, GA — Lawyers for Young Thug, a mainstream rapper who is facing gang and racketeering charges in Fulton County, moved to have the state prosecutor disqualified, 11Alive reported.
The case against Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, has seen its share of troubles since Williams was indicted on gang and racketeering charges alongside 28 others over a year ago.
Assistant District Attorney Adriane Love, who has been leading prosecution in the case on behalf of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, was accused of “becoming an unsworn witness” during her questioning Friday, 11Alive reported, citing a motion filed Monday night.

“‘Prosecutor Love has become a witness in this case solely because Prosecutor Love has, for some reason that only she is aware, voluntarily and continuously injected herself as an unsworn witness in this case for which no other witness, investigator or otherwise, is available to answer the questions that Prosecutor Love has forced Mr. Williams to ask,'” Attorney Brian Steel wrote in the filing, per 11Alive.
