Howard E. Christmas Sr. | Times Georgian

He was born on June 10, 1941 in Cottondale, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis J. Christmas & Ethel Glass Christmas. He is also preceded in death by brothers IG Christmas and Curtis “Buck” Christmas, and sister, Bessie Gilley.

He is survived by sister, Jewell Tomlin, and brother, Robert Christmas.

He is also survived by wife, Jenny Christmas; sons, Michael (Carrie) Christmas, Eddie (Lou Ann) Christmas, and Terry (Andrea) Christmas; daughters, Melissa (Michael) Garland, Lynette Christmas, Merry (Jeff) Sheffield; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was a disabled veteran from serving in the U.S. Army from 1958-1968. He did tours in Germany, France and Okinawa. After his military service, he worked for Sherwin Williams paint company for nine years before starting his own business. Expert Painting by Chris was in business for more than 40 years.

He loved the outdoors, crossword puzzles, singing off-key to anyone that would listen, and giving out candy. He loved his dog, Ricky.

A special thanks to all the nurses and nurse techs at Tanner Carrollton 4 East that took great care of him and loved on our family. We will never forget your kindness. Also a special family friend, Kim Harcrow. He was so helpful to our family.

Pop attended Deeper Life Christian Center in Carrollton and loved helping in the food ministry as he was able.

He was cremated, according to his wishes.

His memorial service, originally planned for April 13 at 1 p.m. at Deeper Life Christian Center, 1860 GA 113, Carrollton with pastors Dan and Carla Patrick officiating, has been postponed. New arrangements will be announced at a…
