Henry R. (Bobby) Lee
Henry R. (Bobby) Lee, of Roswell and Artesia, NM, passed away from this life on Wednesday April 3, 2024, after months of bad health. He was born on September 15, 1935, in Brownfield, TX, to Bob and Frances Lee, the second of seven children.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife of many years, Irene, and his son Robbie; his parents, Bob and Frances, as well as two brothers, Bill and Donald.
He is survived by his daughter, Lavon; stepdaughter, Sandy and several grandchildren; three sisters, Helen, Kay and Betty, and one brother, Stan.
Bobby was active in the horse business for most of his life and was well known throughout New Mexico and Texas, as well as other parts of the states. He was a competitive calf roper when he was young, and a team roper in his older years. He trained and ran racehorses for several years at numerous tracks throughout the Southwest.
Bobby chose to be cremated, and no services have been planned at this time.
The family wishes to thank Casa Maria, and Enhabit Hospice for Bobby’s long-term and end of life care.
