Driver Charged With Homicide After Pedestrian Killed At Airport: PD

ATLANTA — A man is charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian who was hit during a crash Saturday at the Atlanta airport, according to police.

Mesfin Abebe, 39, was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and charged with homicide by vehicle and failure to yield to a pedestrian, police said.

The incident occurred shortly before noon in the 6000 block of South Terminal Parkway, according to police, who said the crash involved multiple vehicles as well as the pedestrian, a 62-year-old man who was struck and died of his injuries.
