Center awarded as one of 175 named across the U.S.
- Placement based on online surveys, quality metrics, patient experience
- Only Buffalo center to be named to list
- Editor credits ‘devoted’ professionals who make these hospitals the best
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has been named to the ranks of America’s Best Cancer Hospitals for 2023. It is the only Buffalo-area center included on the full list of 175 cancer hospitals across the country.
This is Newsweek’s inaugural list of Best Cancer Hospitals, working with global research firm Statista. Rankings and awards were determined via a nationwide online survey of hospital managers and health care professionals, hospital quality metrics and patient experience.
“While nothing can stop the worry after receiving the diagnosis of a serious illness, having access to some of the best cancer treatment facilities in the country may provide hope,” says Newsweek Global Editor in Chief Nancy Cooper. “Congratulations to the many health care professionals who devoted themselves to making these hospitals the best.”
Roswell Park is also a Newsweek World’s Best Hospitals for Oncology Awardee in 2022 and 2023.
