Actor Joseph C. Phillips shares his talents as professor in theatre and communication at Clark Atlanta – WABE

“The Art of Teaching” series on City Lights features Georgia educators whose dedication and creativity make a lasting impact on students, often turning their passions into professions. This installment spotlights actor, author and professor Joseph C. Phillips.

You might recognize him from his roles on “The Cosby Show,” “General Hospital” and “13 Reasons Why.” Last year, Phillips joined Clark Atlanta University as a professor in the theatre and communications department.

In this interview, “City Lights” host speaks with Professor Phillips to talk more about this new career move.

“Seeing the excitement of all of those students, I suddenly understood why people do this,” Phillips said.
