Senoia Area History Society members and guests were recently treated to an interesting and informative program by Dr. Gary McIntosh, the great, great, great-grandson of Chief William McIntosh, a signer of the Treaty of Indian Springs which ceded land, partly what we know as Coweta County, to the American government in 1825.

Dr. Gary McIntosh visited on Sept. 15, 2023, from his home in California and provided an intimate telling of the McIntosh family and the Creek Indian nation through photos and stories. This was his third visit to the SAHS History Museum since 2019 and another visit is planned for autumn 2024.
