One resident said she was regularly missing her mail, including her newspaper.

After not receiving mail again on Sept. 30, the resident said she asked the mail carrier about not receiving her mail. While speaking with the carrier, she noticed there were several pieces of mail addressed to her in the mail carrier’s mailbox, according to the CCSO report.

The resident then went to the Newnan Post Office on Postal Parkway to file a complaint and explain what was happening at Wesley Woods. According to the report, the supervisor with whom she spoke said, “Let me see what I can find out,” and returned with two newspapers.

The resident asked why carriers were leaving without delivering the mail, and the supervisor told her he would “talk to them” and then closed the door, according to the report.

Several other subscribers reached out to The Newnan Times-Herald during the same time period, claiming they had not received their newspapers.

Inside the Wesley Woods mailroom, several newspapers were found in the trash can, along with more resident mail that was not delivered, the report stated.

Investigators went through all the mail found in the trash. Some pieces were addressed to a person who still lived at the complex, while some were addressed to a resident who recently passed away….
