Eclectic community arts space Eyedrum celebrates 25 anniversary milestone – WABE

by Fulton Watch News Feed

The eclectic and adventurous arts space known as eyedrum has been filling Atlanta with color, creativity, and community for two and half decades.

The venue celebrates its 25th birthday milestone on Nov. 11 and 12 with two nights of live music, art and installations.

In this interview, “City Lights” senior producer Kim Drobes caught up with three key players in eyedrum’s history: board chair Will Lawless, musician Bill Taft, who performs with his band W8ing4UFOs (Waiting for UFOs) on Sunday night, and Charlie “Blackcat” Smith, whose fire sculpture art will be on display all weekend to talk about the history and legacy of eyedrum.

More information about eyedrum’s upcoming birthday celebration is available here.
