GEORGIA — In recognition of Georgia Apply to College Month, application fees are being waived throughout November for high-school seniors.

Gov. Nathan Deal made the proclamation in 2016.

“The goal of Georgia Apply to College is to provide all Georgia high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college with a focus on providing assistance to first generation and underrepresented students as they navigate the college application process,” according to GAFutures.

The Georgia Student Finance Commission partnered with the University System of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia and private colleges and universities for the initiative.

For most colleges and universities, fee waivers will automatically be applied. For others, a code is available.
