College Hill Methodist Church will have a Homespun Holiday Bazaar this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both breakfast and lunch will be available.

The location is 1179 College Hill Road in Waco.

The next meeting of Union City Ruritan will be Monday at 7 p.m. We remind all members to be present because there will be election of officers for the coming year.

Visitors are always welcome if you want to know what Ruritan is all about.

Maybe you could be a member too.

My wife Pat and I took a trip last week. We drove to Savannah, Ga., where spent three nights and walked a few miles during the stay.

On Saturday, we rode a tour trolley. This is a good way to learn about history of the city.

Savannah was established in 1733 and is considered the oldest city in the state of Georgia. It became a major seaport for shipping goods grown in the south to England and other countries.

One night, we ate at Paula Deen’s Lady and Sons Restaurant. There was more than we could eat so we took our desserts as carry-out. On Sunday, we visited Compassion Christian Church and heard Cam Huxford speak.

It was a good trip, but it is always good to be back home.

The Union City Ruritan Building is available for use. If you want to schedule an event, contact Jimmy or Mary Sewell at 859-582-0989
