The Smyrna Business Association invites locals to support community businesses by shopping locally on Saturday, Nov. 25 as part of the “Shop Smyrna Saturday” event. Shoppers can participate in a special draw by visiting participating businesses, scanning an in-store QR code, and entering to win one of three $100 gift cards. The event, sponsored by various local businesses, will take place all day at 200 Village Green Circle SE in Smyrna; no registration is required to participate. (Smyrna Business Association)
Fine Fettle, set to open facilities in Smyrna and across the Atlanta metro, is among four companies awarded licenses to produce low-THC oil in Georgia. This expansion aims to serve patients with severe ailments, including cancer and post-traumatic stress disorder, across the state. Though Georgia initially passed a medical marijuana bill in 2015, years of ongoing legislation were required for many to obtain their medicine. (wabe.org)
