GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WTGS) — The suspect who robbed the Jasmine Food Mart in Garden City on Tuesday at gunpoint has been arrested.
Detectives with the Garden City Police Department along with the K9 Unit of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Mr. Lial Stephens on Thursday around 12:30 p.m. in connection to the armed robbery.

Law enforcement officers were quickly able to connect the robbery suspect with a September 11 robbery at the same Food Mart.
Stephens, 28, of Savannah, Ga., was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault and other related charges, according to Garden City Police.
Stephens remains in custody at the Chatham County Detention Center.
