Douglas County EMS Chief Stacie Farmer has completed a year-long Georgia EMS Directors and Management Leadership course. A graduation ceremony was held on Nov. 9 in Statesboro in commemoration of the achievement.
During the course of the program, students participated in four week-long training modules at various locations across the state, including Rome, Pine Mountain, and Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. In addition to presentations by state level public and community health officials, students attended workshops and lectures led by a variety of subject-matter experts and participated in tours at the various locations where modules were conducted. Online discussion groups and training between sessions supplemented classroom activities.
