Wanted man located, facing charges in two jurisdictions | Douglasville Sentinel

DCSO received information from the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office that Duff was in the county.

According to a Haralson County news release, Duff was wanted in that county for trafficking meth, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, theft by receiving stolen property, and multiple traffic citations.

Duff was on the run after a being pursued by a Haralson County deputy.

Duff was driving a 1999 Blue GMC Sonoma on Interstate 20 in Haralson County jurisdiction. The pursuit reached 95 miles per hour and in order to end the chase around mile marker two, a Georgia State Trooper conducted a Precision Immobilization Technique, according to HCSO.

The vehicle also had expired registration on Oct. 10, 2023. Furthermore, once the truck began to come to a stop, Duff jumped out and ran across the eastbound lanes and entered the wood line.

Law enforcement recovered a stolen firearm and a large quantity of drugs from the vehicle, HCSO said.

HCSO has placed a hold on Duff with Douglas County so he will face his charges once finished in Douglas.

“I thank Sheriff Tim Pounds and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for capturing this wanted felon,” said Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams. “We have continued to gather intel and follow leads in our search for Duff. When we got a new lead, we would contact that jurisdiction for help looking for Duff, but he was not located.
