6 Georgia Bulldogs selected to Associated Press All-SEC teams

The Georgia Bulldogs established themselves as one of the SEC’s top teams and finished the regular season with 12 victories and a perfect record in conference play. Several Bulldogs stood out from their competition, and six of them have been honored among the best the conference has to offer.

Georgia had six players chosen to the 2023 Associated Press All-SEC teams, with four players being first-team selections and two others making the second team. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers and center Sedrick Van Pran made the first team as unanimous selections, while offensive guard Tate Ratledge and safety Malaki Starks also received first-team honors.

Georgia defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse and safety Javon Bullard landed on the second team.

Bowers and Van Pran were two of the four players who were unanimous selections on the first team. The others were LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels and Missouri running back Cody Schrader.

Daniels was unanimously selected as the AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Mississippi State linebacker Nathaniel Watson was named Defensive Player of the Year, Alabama safety Caleb Downs was named Newcomer of the Year, and Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz was named Coach of the Year.
