MILTON, Ga. — Police issued a criminal trespass warning to an Alpharetta man Nov. 21, who was suspected of approaching customers at a Birmingham Highway gas station for a money exchange.
A gas station clerk told police the suspect had been asking customers to pay for their gas with a credit card, so he could get cash back, and the clerk requested that the suspect be criminally trespassed.
When police stopped the suspect near the gas station and explained the reason for the stop, the suspect said he bought gas and visited the liquor store next door, according to the incident report.
Police conducted a search on the suspect’s vehicle, finding credit cards belonging to other individuals, and confirmed that two of the credit cards belonged to a Milton woman who had recently reported a vehicle break-in and a stolen purse.
Police also found 1.5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the report said.
The suspect was charged with possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, two counts of financial credit card theft and possession of drug-related objects.
