Atlanta City Council Pres. discusses legislation, initiatives that were championed & challenged in 2023 – WABE

In 2023, Atlanta City Council members addressed several issues and initiatives that raised public interest, as well as outrage.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,”  Atlanta City Council President Doug Shipman joined the program to discuss the political matters that were championed and challenged by council members and the public this year.

President Shipman also talked about the current state of affordable housing in Atlanta, infrastructure and the ongoing debate about the proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center. In addition, Shipman discussed the Atlanta City Council’s top priorities for 2024.
