Bea Blanton Andrews entered into the presence of Jesus on January 5, 2024.
She had many titles — daughter, wife, mom, sister, mother-in-law, and friend. However, the title she most cherished was Mimi and BeaBea as she was known by her grandchildren — Morgan, Ryan, Kathryn, and Rhett and great grandchildren — Cash, Emersyn, Anders Tate, Reagan, and Collins.
She was born in Canton, Georgia March 12, 1936, and moved to Jonesboro, Georgia as a teenager along with her 5 siblings — Troy, James, Betty, Ann, and Randy. She graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1954 and attended Georgia State on an academic scholarship.
She married Ron Andrews in 1956 and had two children — Ronnie and Lynn. She remained in the metro-Atlanta area her entire life and lived in Atlanta, Jonesboro, Fayetteville, and finally settled in Peachtree City.
She worked for years in the accounting field and retired from Porex Technologies in 2013. She was active in her community and church. Bea was an incredible woman with a servant’s heart who loved the Lord and her family.
Please join the family to celebrate her legacy Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Flat Creek Baptist Church followed by a good ole fashioned Southern meal at Whitewater Country Club.
To continue her legacy, the family requests donations in lieu of flowers to the Bea and Ron Andrews Scholarship Fund. Donations can be made online (https://artsbridgega.networkforgood.com/). Select “Shuler Awards” and reference Bea Andrews in the comment section. Alternatively, checks can be mailed to Arts Bridge Foundation, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Parkway, Atlanta GA 30339.
