Three Texans held for false lottery winnings | Douglasville Sentinel

According to arrest warrants, Hampton influenced the winning of $292 while King received $40 from the machines around noon on Jan. 8, 2024 at the Texaco at 9318 Georgia Highway 5.

Hampton and King are charged with theft by deception and falsely making, altering, forging, uttering, passing, counterfeiting ticket.

In addition to those two charges, McLennan, a female, is also charged with giving false name, address/date of birth to officers and forgery in the first degree.

McLennan had originally told officers that her name was Armanyi Evans, according to an arrest warrant.

All three had Waco, Texas addresses listed on their arrest warrants.

McLennan was a party to the crime in trying to help King and Hampton obtain cash/merchandise from the vouchers, the arrest warrant stated.

All three are being held in the Douglas County jail without bond.
