DeKalb County public schools closed Jan. 16 due to expected freezing temperatures – On Common Ground News

DEKALB county, GA–Due to the Severe Weather advisory, DeKalb County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.  An artic blast is expected to bring temperatures below freezing as well as freezing rain throughout Georgia. All school and athletic events are also canceled.

“Student and staff safety remains a top priority.  We will continue monitoring weather conditions and resume normal operations as weather conditions permit,” the DeKalb County School Districted stated in a news release.
