Chris Doane chosen as new executive director and president of the Southern Conservation Trust | News

“Chris’ experience in the areas of leading and building a nonprofit like SCT weighed significantly in the Board’s thought process,” said James Yates, chair of the board and senior construction manager for Comcast. “He brings a proven record of building sustainable revenues in the world of conservation. Also, Chris is a visionary and results oriented. His previous engagements show that collaboration is always at the top of his mindset.”

Doane currently serves as president and creative director for The Crezent Agency in Newnan. The award-winning marketing agency offers a broad range of consulting services to a diverse client base. Doane and his team have consulted for multiple international brands and hundreds of small businesses, including Hella, Duracell, Yanmar and Piedmont Hospital. Previously, he held positions with Atlanta American Corporation, Paxton Media Group and Flint River College.

In the nonprofit arena, Doane is president of Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association Atlanta (MTB Atlanta). The organization supports conservation and passive green space development at more than 30 sites and 200-plus miles of shared-use trails for hikers, cyclists and equestrians across the Atlanta region.
