ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Alpharetta police arrested a 54-year-old Johns Creek woman Jan. 20 who allegedly struck a parked Tesla outside City Eats on South Main Street.

A valet driver reported witnessing the alleged hit-and-run around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 19. After retrieving the Tesla from the valet lot and parking it, he said he saw a white Hyundai reverse out of a nearby parking spot and strike the Tesla’s bumper.

The valet told officers he thought the suspect was stopping to get out and observe the damage, but she reportedly fled. The valet provided officers with a photo of the Hyundai and its license plate.

Officers were unable to find the suspect at her two addresses listed in the Georgia Crime Information Center, but she was later found driving on Old Milton Parkway around 1 a.m.

Officers reported the suspect confirmed she was at City Eats, but she said a friend had parked her car. The suspect said she did not hit anyone, and she had not noticed the damage to her bumper, the report states.

She was charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run.
