Jonesboro senior Montez Redding was named to the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s All-Metro Basketball Team on Friday.
Redding was an honorable mention selection after leading Jonesboro to the Final Four last season. He was named earlier to the Class AAAAAA North All-State Team by the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association/Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.
Redding also was a football standout for Jonesboro who was the Region 3-AAAAAA Offensive Player of the Year last season. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound wide receiver has signed with Arkansas State for football.
