Cobb Weather Update: Floods Expected Following Heavy Rains

The National Weather Service reports that numerous creeks and rivers in Cobb County and other parts of north and central Georgia are flooding or are in danger of flooding as rains continue over the next several days.

The statement gives the following details:

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE…Tonight…

Numerous rivers and creeks are in flood or forecast to reach flood

over the next several days due to recent rains. Please use caution

around flooded areas, and do not drive through any flooded roadways.

A Freeze Warning is in effect tonight through tomorrow morning [Cobb Courier editor’s note: This was issued last night, so the freeze warning ends this morning at 9 a.m. March 11]

for portions of north and central Georgia. Please take precautions

for any sensitive vegetation.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday…

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
