Group steals dog after fatally shooting Atlanta man in ‘targeted attack’: police

An Atlanta man was fatally shot in a “targeted attack” and the group of suspects robbed him of his dog, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Police said just after 8 p.m. on Feb. 5 44-year-old Samuel Harris, also known as “JR”, was targeted and robbed by a group in the area of Mitchell Street SW and Joseph E. Lowery Blvd.

His dog, “Tequilla,” was also taken during the robbery, officials added.

A reward of $2,000 is being offered by police for anyone who can help identify and locate the group.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (404) 546-4235. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at (404) 577-TIPS (8477), on its official website, or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
