The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting Tuesday night, February 20, at 7 p.m. at the Rustic Grille. With President Cheryl Goodman presiding, 15 attendees were present, including four guests, Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz, Ava Willis, Avery Thompson and Trinity Nichols. The cake, donated by Edwin Canady, was won by Brenda Barber. The Domino’s pizza, donated by Domino’s, was won by Willis. Thompson and Nichols won the boxes of chocolates. The donation was presented to Principal Sarah Tapley, Media Specialist Krista Hostilo and Media Center Clerk Princess Middleton. President Goodman noted that two of Kiwanis former members, Ginny Smith and Dr. John Black, had trees planted to honor them on Georgia Arbor Day.
