Bowdon city manager killed in car crash | Times Georgian

Bullock had served as Bowdon’s city manager since 2017, coming out of retirement after years as the CEO of Carroll EMC. He was instrumental in many of the city’s major undertakings, including the relocation of Bowdon City Hall.

He was known as an engaged and active community volunteer, and in 2020, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce named Bullock Carroll County’s Citizen of the Year. Friends say was an avid fan of LSU and golf, and he volunteered at the Masters Tournament in Augusta for many years.

Bowdon’s mayor said Bullock will be remembered for his love of family and Jesus Christ, and that he will be “greatly missed” by his colleagues and friends.

“He was loved and respected by the city of Bowdon employees he led,” Saxon said in a statement released Friday morning. “He led with wisdom, compassion and strength, and he will be greatly missed. Please join us in remembering his family and his many friends during this difficult time.”
