The Douglas County School System (DCSS) announces the awarding of $52,500 in college scholarships administered by the Douglas County Education Foundation (DCEF). Scholarship awardees include students from all five DCSS high schools, as well as the College and Career Institute (CCI).

This year, DCEF received 246 student applications for 13 available scholarship offerings. To ensure the best and fairest scoring process, each applicant was reviewed and scored by three anonymous volunteer reviewers which consisted of local residents, business leaders, and DCEF supporters. This year, a total of 31 scholarships were awarded to DCSS students—five students from Alexander High School, nine students from Chapel Hill High School, eight students from Douglas County High School, five students from New Manchester High School, and four students from Lithia Springs High School.
