Newnan Utilities recently honored 17 employees who marked milestone years of service in 2023, signifying more than 245 years of combined service.
Celebrating five years are Liz Avila, Clay Brown, Justin Bruce, Brian Kilby, Travis Legg, Adam Pannell and Mark Taylor. Celebrating a decade are Donald Barber, Betsy Burnette and Thomas Mewborn.
Employees with 20 Years of service are Rex Dunson, Lisa Maddox and Jeff Phillips.
Celebrating 25 Years are Forrest Copeland and George Lee. Those with 30 and 40 years of service are Chris Benning and Tony Lane respectively.
General Manager Jeff Phillips said it’s rare these days to find a place that has employees who have worked there 20, 30, even 40 years.
“There’s something special about the commitment our employees have to, not only our organization but more so to our customers and our community,” he said. “It is an honor to work alongside such dedicated folks.”
